Class: Knitting a Cable Cowl (New Pattern) with Jodi Clayton
Knitting a Cable Cowl (New Pattern by Jodi Clayton!)
Class date: Saturday, February 19, 2022 – (1pm- 3pm)
Cowls are fun, fast and knitwear projects that make wonderful treats to give away or to keep. In this class we will be working the Narrow Spire Cowl, by Jodi Clayton. This pattern will offer you the opportunity to work in the round using the Continental method if you choose. You will also be introduced (if not already familiar) to two techniques which will make knitting this cowl a pleasure while building your knitting skill set. The featured techniques are the Norwegian Purl and how to create beautiful cables without a cable needle. The pattern is included for free with this class and was written for our Dexter DK yarn, but any DK weight yarn will do as long as it has good stitch definition.
Materials needed: 1 Skein (min. 250 yds) DK weight yarn with energetic twist (not a single ply), 1 x 16” circular needle size 6, and a stitch marker. If you do not have materials you may purchase them before the class. Students will receive a 10% discount on all materials purchased on the day of the class.
